When we were stopped to fix the generator at 9:00 this morning, the dawn turned to afternoon quickly, and there was no progress. What began as a fairly simple fix, soon became an open door to an even bigger problem. With a 7 hour day of travel ahead of us, and an 8:00 start time in Santa Cruz, we had to leave by 12 at the latest.
Well, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, we had some delicious coffee fueling us, (courtesy of Jeremy Bursich at Northtown Coffee in Arcada), we were parked in a lot with perfectly muddy puddles, and we had a couple hours to kill.
