How many chances does the average person get to see a car on fire on the side of the road? Unless you’re either setting the fires or putting them out, I’d imagine a ballpark average of maybe ten in a lifetime. Last night, we were on our way back to Tacoma from an open mic at the Skylark in Seattle (which was awesome, by the way; great sound, awesome stage, some incredible performers, and the crowd LOVED us), and we saw a blazing car pulled over on the I-5 near the Tukwilla exit. Fortunately, it looked like everyone got out in time.
The strange thing is that we saw another one while we were on tour here in 2010 in almost the EXACT SAME SPOT! Not sure if the area is known for spontaneous combustion, but we’re keeping our fire extinguisher handy.
LITTLE CREEPY…MAYBE IT’S LIKE THAT AREA OF WATER OVER THERE ON THE EAST COAST….I THINK IT’S OFF THE FLORIDA COAST AND IT’S CALLED “THE DEVIL’S TRIANGLE”……… MAYBE THIS IS THE WEST COAST VERSION BUT WITH FIRE INSTEAD OF WATER…IT COULD BE CALLED “THE DEVIL’S FRY ANGLE”…..HA HA HA HA. … YOU’RE NOT LAUGHING ARE YOU?
