If you were wondering what an Indian taco was, this is it. You only need to order one. Ground beef, lettuce, onions, cheddar cheese, tomato, jalapeños, salsa, and sour cream….all on top of a delicious memory foam mattress.
Heather’s Indian Fry Bread is famous in these parts. Sweet, crunchy, fluffy and incredibly filling. After eating one at the end of our show, I realized that THESE were the REAL reason people showed up. They may have stayed for the music, but they DEFINITELY came for the tacos.
The people who said they were going to join us again from the night before, did! And then some. The patio was packed and more tables and chairs were brought out to accommodate the expanding audience. Even the wind that had threatened to tear down our merch settled down after a bit and let everyone relax!
Even Heather got to come out from the kitchen a little bit at the end, take a break from making her taco bread and enjoy the fresh air. She said, “I knew people would love you guys if they just came out and actually HEARD AND SAW you guys!!” And, she was right! Within a few minutes of the gig being over, the owner came up to me and said, “Let’s get you booked right now for next year!”
I said, “Let’s get through this one first and I’ll call you in January!”😂
